ABOUT

Christina is a graphic designer and artist who owns and operates Foxtail Studio, based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her photography currently focuses on the role of human beings in the landscape and the unique ways that role plays out in Saskatchewan. Perceptions of a "landscape", the place of the person within that landscape, and the changes humans have brought to the prairies as they inhabit and abandon rural areas are all themes that her work deals with.
Christina grew up in a small town where her parents owned a fertilizer business. Her grandparents all lived in very small towns in Saskatchewan, farmers on one side and town administrators on the other. Christina took her first photography course in black & white film at Medicine Hat College. She has a Bachelor of Design degree from the University of Alberta. She also owns an ex-racehorse named Charming Jim.
I love the light in Saskatchewan, especially in June. Photography is only one of the mediums that I use to try and share these visions with others.
